The Lunch Date

After 17 years, we thought it was about time we sat down together.

For so long, we’ve known each other through screens, campaigns, messages, tags, stories, and the little moments in between. We’ve watched you wear Y21, style it in your own way, and share pieces of your world with us. 
But this time, we wanted something simpler.

A table. A good lunch. And a little more time to actually get to know each other.

The first Y21 Social Club lunch was never meant to feel like a typical fashion event.

There was no schedule to rush through, no stage, no formal introductions.

Just 21 wonderful women, good food, easy conversations,
and the chance to meet the people behind the names we’ve come to know so well.

To talk about things beyond campaigns and content.

To discover the little things we wouldn’t have known from a screen.

It felt familiar, even though for some, it was the first time we had properly met.

We spent the afternoon at Wildcard Singapore,
over a beautiful lunch made for lingering a little longer.

And, of course, there was a little Y21 touch in the glass.

Our signature Somewhere Else mock-tail was created especially for the afternoon, inspired by the little escapes we find in ordinary days. A fitting drink for a lunch that was, in its own way, a little everyday escape.

Something To Take Home

We wanted there to be something from the luncheon that could stay beyond the day itself.

For each guest, we prepared a little illustration from our Everyday Escape series, created especially for the occasion. Illustrated by Bleu, the four framed artworks capture those small moments of pause, pleasure and escape that inspired the series.

We also gave the girls a first look at what’s coming next for Y21.

Season II | The Resort

Before it officially made its way into the world, the collection found its first audience around the lunch table.

We loved hearing their thoughts, seeing what caught their eye, 
and watching everyone interpret the pieces in their own way. 

The response was incredibly warm, and honestly,
it made sharing this new chapter with them feel even more special.

The Heart of Y21

At some point during lunch, Jarenis Ho, our Founder, took a moment to say a few words.

“Y21 has never been just one person. There are so many people behind it, people you see and people you don’t...”

And that felt like the perfect thing to say.

Because behind the faces we know, there are so many more making Y21 what it is, quietly, every day.

The team behind the scenes, the ones putting things together, making things happen, and keeping everything moving.

So while this lunch was a little thank you to the girls who have been part of our story, it was also a quiet thank you to everyone who has been part of Y21 along the way.

The ones in the room, and the ones behind it.

Until The Next One

There was something lovely about finally putting faces to names,

voices to messages, and stories to the people we’ve known from afar.

A reminder that Y21 has always been beyond clothing.

It’s about the people who wear them, the people who create with us, and the little moments that happen somewhere in between.
